Who We Are
Where GG started, and where we're going.
Grassland Groupies was founded by environmental educators motivated to do meaningful work in their community and beyond. We’ve reached hundreds of thousands of people and directly impacted our local community. That impact is always growing.
A team of career environmental educators
Grassland Groupies has been operating as an 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 2021 and has three primary educators with dozens of years of experience between them. Two of the educators are certified by the National Association of Interpretation as Certified Interpretive Guides.
Our team has created and led programming based on Next Generation Science Standards to thousands of children and adults, has created new community partnerships, and successfully planned several large-scale education events for hundreds to thousands of participants.
