Nature Journal Club – August Meetup
August 22 | 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Practice new techniques, meet new nature lovers, and build a deep connection with the nature around you. Everyone is welcome at our Wichita Nature Journal Club, no matter your skill level or age.
Meetup Plan:
- 9am – Arrive. More instructions will be available when the location is decided!
- (10 min) – Introductions, information, and prompts.
- Disperse to journal.
- 10:15 am – Reflections: gather at the starting location to share some of your observations or pages with the group.
Logistics and Amenities:
- Location TBD.
- Bring your own journaling supplies.
- We recommend Organic Maps (Google Play, Apple Store) for walking trail maps. The app provides free, privacy-focused, open-source, offline maps based on OpenStreetMap data.

Nature Journaling is slowing down and carefully observing the natural world with pencil and paper. Write, sketch, paint, or diagram whatever you discover, and by taking the time to observe, you open up a world of natural wonder.
