Nature Journal Club – July Meetup
July 25 | 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Practice new techniques, meet new nature lovers, and build a deep connection with the nature around you. Everyone is welcome at our Wichita Nature Journal Club, no matter your skill level or age.
Meetup plan:
- 9am – Meet at the Kansas Wildlife Exhibit
- (15 min) The group leader leads introductions and shares a technique to get creative juices flowing.
- Disperse to journal on your own.
- 10:15am – Meet up again where we started and share your observations with the group.
What to expect at the Kansas Wildlife Exhibit:
- Accessibility: Concrete walking paths and seating are available, but consider bringing portable seating for more flexibility.
- Restroom Access: Yes, available onsite.
- Indoors Area: There is indoor exhibit space to escape to, though space is limited.
What is Nature Journaling?
It’s slowing down and carefully observing the natural world with pencil and paper. Write, sketch, paint, or diagram whatever you discover, and by taking the time to observe, you open up a world of natural wonder.
